Understanding the statistics that matter most to your disc golf game. Each stat is calculated from your PDGA sanctioned tournament data to give you insights into your performance.
Putting Statistics
Statistics related to putting performance and accuracy
Circle 1 (C1) Putting
Definition
Putting percentage from Circle 1 (within 10 meters)
Calculation
Number of successful putts from C1 ÷ Total C1 opportunities × 100
Example
If you made 87 putts out of 100 C1 attempts, your C1 Putting is 87%
Circle 1X (C1X) Putting
Definition
Putting percentage from Circle 1X (3-10 meters) representing 'true' Circle 1 putting with tap-ins excluded.
Calculation
Number of successful putts from C1X ÷ Total C1X opportunities × 100
Example
If you made 75 putts out of 100 C1X attempts, your C1X Putting is 75%
Circle 2 (C2) Putting
Definition
Putting percentage from Circle 2 (10-20 meters)
Calculation
Number of successful putts from C2 ÷ Total C2 opportunities × 100
Example
If you made 25 putts out of 50 C2 attempts, your C2 Putting is 50%
Putts per Hole
Definition
Average number of putts taken per hole
Calculation
Total putts (C1 + C2 opportunities) ÷ Number of holes with putting data
Example
If you had 24 total putts across 18 holes, your Putts per Hole is 1.33
Driving & Approach Statistics
Statistics related to driving accuracy, distance, and recovery ability
Fairways Hit
Definition
Percentage of drives that land in the fairway, or within Circle 2 on a Par 3
Calculation
Number of fairway hits ÷ Total driving opportunities × 100
Example
If you hit 18 fairways out of 25 drives, your Fairway Hit is 72%
C1/C2 in Regulation
Definition
Percentage of holes where you are putting (C1 or C2) for birdie or better. C1 in regulation is also counted as C2 in regulation.
Calculation
Number of C1/C2 in regulation ÷ Total holes played × 100
Example
If you were in C2 in regulation on 12 out of 18 holes, your C2R is 67%
Scramble Percentage
Definition
Percentage of successful scrambles (saving par or better from off the fairway)
Calculation
Number of successful scrambles ÷ Total scramble opportunities × 100
Example
If you successfully scrambled 15 times out of 22 opportunities, your Scramble % is 68%
Performance Stats
Overall performance and rating statistics
Average Round Rating
Definition
Average PDGA round rating across all rounds
Calculation
Sum of all round ratings ÷ Number of rounds with ratings
Example
If your round ratings are 945, 950, and 940, your average is 945
Strokes Gained
Definition
How many strokes you gained or lost compared to the field average. Note: strokes gained is relative to other players with detailed scoring information, and will often not include the full field/division.
Calculation
Your score - Field average score (positive = gained strokes, negative = lost strokes)
Example
If you putted 25 times in a round, and the field average for the round was 27.54, you gained 2.54 strokes putting
