How to Use Disc Golf Guru

Get the most out of your disc golf analytics in just a few simple steps

1

Find a player

Use Find Player in the main navigation or the search box in the header (Enter Name or PDGA #) to go to the Player Search page. You can search by name (e.g. "Kayden", "Paul McBeth") or PDGA number. Results appear in a table: filter by membership, classification, state, or country; sort by any column; click View Player to open that player's profile. You can also start from the homepage "Start Now" button or the CTA search at the bottom.

Example: Search for Kayden, Paul McBeth, or 27523 (PDGA #)
2

View player profile

The profile shows the player's bio: PDGA number (links to PDGA), name, location, badges, current rating and change, career events & wins, and next event when available. Recent Events appear as tiles—click one to set it as the featured event. The featured event drives the Stats, Scorecards, and Compare (Head-to-Head) tabs below.

3

Stats, Scorecards & Compare (Head-to-Head)

For the featured event, use the Stats tab for donut charts (scoring, putting, accuracy) and legend data; Scorecards for hole-by-hole scorecards and hole details (driving, putting, penalty, vs. field); and Compare (Head-to-Head) to select another player in the same division and see side-by-side stats and strokes gained.

4

Player Stats (line charts)

Below the featured event, the Player Stats section shows line charts of key stats over time. Choose Round, Event, or Month; optionally show averages. Use "Load more" to add events and rounds. Data is drawn from the same pool as Recent Events.

5

Analytics (Beta)

The Analytics section shows how each stat correlates with your round rating (r) and how many rating points change per 1% change in that stat. You need at least 10 enriched rounds; use "Rounds to use" (e.g. last 10) once the dropdown is enabled.

6

Bookmarks & feedback

Player profile URLs use the PDGA number (e.g. /player/27523), so you can bookmark or share a direct link. To suggest features or report issues, use the Feedback link in the header—we use it to prioritize improvements.

Pro Tips

🔍

Find Player from anywhere

Use the Find Player link in the main nav or the header search box (Enter Name or PDGA #) to jump to Player Search. A single name (e.g. Kayden) searches both first and last name.

📊

Hover donut charts

Hover over segments in the scoring, putting, or accuracy donut charts to see a tooltip with label, percentage, and count—positioned under the section title.

⏱️

Load more for more rounds

Use “Load more” in Recent Events or Player Stats to add events and rounds. Enrichment runs in the background; Analytics needs at least 10 enriched rounds for the “Rounds to use” selector.

📋

Scorecard hole details

On Scorecards, click a hole to see driving, putting, and penalty for that hole, plus vs. field (scoring distribution and average score). Hole names like 2A appear when the event provides them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find a player?

Use Find Player in the header or the search box (Enter Name or PDGA #). On the Player Search page you can search by name (first, last, or a single name like Kayden) or PDGA number. Filter and sort results, then click View Player to open the profile.

What data is included?

We show PDGA-sanctioned event results, round scores, and detailed statistics (when events submit them). You pick a featured event for Stats/Scorecards/Compare; Player Stats and Analytics use rounds from your loaded events.

How often is data updated?

We fetch data from the PDGA when you load a profile or event—we don’t store historical data. What you see reflects what the PDGA has published at the time of your request.

Can I analyze any player?

Yes. Search by name or PDGA number to find a player, then open their profile to view events, stats, scorecards, and Head-to-Head compare. Compare options are other players in the same division for the featured event.

What is the Compare (Head-to-Head) tab?

On a featured event, the Compare tab lets you select another player in the same division and see side-by-side stats (e.g. C1X, C2, Fairway, Scramble) and strokes gained for that event.

What is the Analytics section?

Analytics (Beta) shows how each stat correlates with your round rating and how many rating points change per 1% change in that stat. You need at least 10 enriched rounds; use “Rounds to use” to pick how many rounds to include.
